CellPhones for Kids

Is there such a best phones for kids? What's the best age does a kid needs to use a phone? 

I am seeing some kids now using a phone, maybe some are for security or maybe just because the kids wants a phone of her own already. I, as a mom actually wants a phone already for my daughter but I am still thinking if it's okay for a 5 year old kid to hold a phone. First, it is dangerous for a 5 year old kid possessing a phone, there maybe some bad guys who would try to snatch it from her. 2nd, she can browse in the net without supervision and she might pick up some not so nice information in the web. In that, case, when is the best time for her to have a phone? I think she can have a phone even right now as long as I set some limitations and I chose the right phone for her age and as long as it's affordable since she's only gonna use to call me or Call a friend when needed.

 

 

There are so many companies offering variety of affordable monthly plans now a days, one is the Straight Talk. I've seen some you tube videos about satisfied costumers talking about Android on Straight Talk. Android phones are very popular especially for the teens. This is what the teens love, no Hook, line and sinker!  All they need is a phone that has mp3 on it, web, call and text unlimited! 

When my Ishi learn this stuff, I am sure she's gonna request for a phones like this soon!
